An Essay on Typography

For this project, I was tasked with formatting a book with InDesign and designing my own cover. The text that was chosen was Eric Gill’s An Essay on Typography. I was given the text file and then had to comb through and address all the errors. Next, I got to make all of the creative decisions: font, spacing, paragraph styles, chapter pages, etc. We had full creative freedom. Lastly, I designed a cover. Since the book is rather informative, with an emphasis on typography, I wanted to create a visually appealing and clean cover. I wanted the title to be the center of attention.
